Traditional Hatha & Yin Yoga - Beginners
A gentle three-week introduction to yoga, designed for all bodies and all ages.
This series is ideal if you’re new to yoga, returning after a long break, or simply looking for a slower, more mindful practice.
Each class weaves together simple poses, breath awareness, and meditation, with plenty of options offered. There is no expectation to be flexible, strong, or experienced, just a willingness to show up as you are.
This is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and build confidence in a supportive, judgement free space. Classes are unhurried, accessible, and focused on helping you feel more at ease in your body and calm in your mind.
Taught by Kellie and Jody, Certified Yoga Teachers in Traditional Hatha and Yin Yoga, with many years of experience in the health industry. They bring a calm, compassionate approach and a deep respect for yoga as an inward, nourishing practice.
Whether this is your very first class or a gentle return to the mat, you are warmly welcome.
Hatha Yoga is a slower paced, spiritual class with dynamic movement, fewer poses and longer holds. It is a practice for mind stability and energy cultivation. The physical asana (poses) are a mix of floor based and standing poses incoporating the breath, followed by seated Pranayama (breath awareness) and meditation.
Yin Yoga is a slower, floor based practice inspired by ancient Chinese Taoist practices, where the body is held in each shape for around 5 minutes, sometimes longer, creating a gentle sustained release of the connective tissue and balancing meridian pathways. It is deeply beneficial for the physical body and the mind.
Hatha and Yin yoga help us slow down and turn inward, we’re better able to witness sensations, thoughts, and emotions.
Investment:
$25 per class
$50 for all 3 classes
When:
Sundays - 8:30 till 9:30am
January 11th, 18th & 25th 2026.
